St George's Charity Football Tournament

We got to attend St George’s Football tournament last Thursday, where an evening of competition and fundraising for four amazing charities took place! Honeypot has been in partnership with Honeypot for 5 years this year, so it was a special evening of sport for everyone! At Powerleague Shoreditch 22 teams competed to win the cup and plate, 4 teams represented St George’s amazing charities.

The football tournament encompassed 3 and a half hours of football as teams were knocked out through group stages, ultimately concluding with knockout rounds leading to the final.

Team Honeypot

Everyone was moved as Anthony, Honeypot’s Director of Income and Communications explained the importance of Honeypot’s services, and thanked St George’s for the 5 years of partnership support!

The rest of the Honeypot team Ros, Simon and Sophie were also on-site to thank St George’s and cheer on the team!

Team Honeypot put up a tough fight and managed to win 2 out of 4 matches, well done! After more gruelling rounds, Team Munnelly went on to win the cup with player Cristiano gaining player of the match!

On the day an estimate of over £200k was raised, to be shared between the 4 charities, well done everyone!

Thank you to Katie Sheperd (Pictured below) and the team from St George’s for all your hard work in organising the day, we look forward to celebrating the 5-year partnership later on in the year!
