We did it again! We smashed our Summer Big Give target - thanks to you!

The summer edition of the UK’s biggest match funding campaign finished on Tuesday, 15th of June, and we are pleased to announce another success. Through the generosity of 180 supporters and sponsors, we exceeded our target early and raised a total of £48,829.22.

National fundraising campaigns such as the Big Give are paramount in securing funding and planning ahead for the delivery of our services. Young carers are coming out of 15 months of lockdown, and our continuous and timely support is more important than ever to help them find their feet, and reverse the long-lasting effects the pandemic had on our young carers and their vulnerable family members. We are overwhelmed with just how many supporters got involved in the campaign and carried us over the finish line before the campaign ended.

“Our plans to increase our reach and take on additional children, rely on successful fundraising campaigns. This recent match-funding opportunity offered through the Big Give, and the kindess of everyone who has donated over the course of the past two weeks, makes it possible for us to continue our support and further enhance our services. On behalf of everyone at Honeypot, a massive thank you to all our corporates, community groups and individual supporters who donated or participated in fundraising for the Summer Big Give.” Anthony Cummings, Director of Income and Communications

Through matched funding from two of our sponsors, The Childhood Trust and The Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation, we have raised the largest fundraising pot that we have ever received for the Summer Big Give! With an unexpected week’s extension added to the campaign, we were given the opportunity to continue to raise vital funds that will contribute towards our Wrap- Round service.

About the Big Give

The Big Give is the UK’s largest matched funding campaign. Each year, it attracts thousands of charities from across the country. To participate, charities have to apply and secure a Big Give sponsor ahead of the campaign, usually a trust or corporate sponsor, who commits to matching the funds if the charity reaches its target through public donations. The charity then has has one full week to raise the required amount.
