Honeypot's special day out with Spider-Man!

The Brothers Trust - a charitable foundation set up by Hollywood actor Tom Holland and his three brothers - kindly invited Honeypot young carers from Lambeth to a special screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a chance to meet the man himself!

The day out included a Q&A hosted by Tom and was arranged in tandem with a grant awarded by The Brothers Trust to fund a respite break at Honeypot. All of Tom's family attended the screening - his parents, all three brothers, his grandmother, and even the family dogs!

Each child got to meet Tom and take a picture with him, including a printout to take home. M&S gave each child a goody bag filled with treats and a huge Percy Pig soft toy, and we added a Honeypot knitted bee to hang on the Christmas tree at home.

Two past Honeypot young carers, Jaiden and his brother Edward, also attended the event. Edward is now a teacher and Jaiden is studying performing arts at Bath University with hopes of becoming a professional actor, so meeting a successful Hollywood star was a real bonus!

Jaiden credits Honeypot with helping him to overcome his fears and particularly remembers riding rollercoasters with us to help him realise he could conquer anything! He has kept in close contact with Honeypot over the years and both brothers support the next generation of young carers by raising awareness for our work.

We’re very grateful to the Holland family and The Brothers Trust for their kind support.
