Fran Graves braving Iron Man for Honeypot
Fran Graves is taking part in the half Iron Man 70.3 on the 2nd October 2022 in aid of Honeypot. Taking place in the beautiful Calella Barcelona the challenge will be tough involving a 1900m swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13-mile run. Despite completing smaller triathlons, this will be a major challenge for the courageous 50 year old! Currently going through the menopause Fran is having to balance work with a gruelling 8 to 12 hour training schedule each week, with only one well deserved rest day, what an inspiration!
Fran is the Managing Director of Freedom Care, a support service for children and young people providing specialist one to one advice and practical support on a range of development needs and complex issues. They are local to Hampshire and are regular partners in supporting Honeypot.
Fran got to visit our Honeypot house in Hampshire recently…
“The joy on the faces of the young carers attending the respite breaks is a great motivation. If we can raise £2,000 we can really help the charity support young carers.”
£2,000 pounds could pay for a full year’s Wrap-Round support for two children (Including a respite break, an online creative workshop, and a £100 Wellbeing grant for two children.)

Fran’s business Freedom Care Group have been established for 20 years and are providers of Childcare and Childrens Social Care, they will also soon be launching their Elder Care and Adults Social care services. Fran’s challenge is also aligned with Freedom’s commitment to the wellbeing of their team, recently becoming runners up at the New Forest Business Partnership Awards.
