Honeypot Wellbeing Fund
Terms and Conditions
This document defines key terms and conditions pertaining to the Fund.
1. The Wellbeing Fund (‘the Fund’) is available to children currently registered with The Honeypot Children’s Charity (‘the Charity’) and eligible for Charity services. At the time of application, the Honeypot child must have been registered with the charity for a minimum of a) 4 months if they have successfully accessed Honeypot online workshops or face to face services or b) 12 months, providing no offer of residential service has been declined during that period. Applications must also meet the specific eligibility criteria for the Fund (see document linked below).
2. The value of an award will be up to £250.
3. No more than one application may be made for any household within a 24 month period.
4. Where there is more than one child in the household currently registered with the Charity and eligible for access to the Fund, and the item requested is specific and individual to a child (i.e. not for the benefit of the household at large and not reasonably possible to share between children), applications for each eligible child may be made, up to a value of £250 per child.
5. Applications not consistent with terms 1-4 above will be rejected. A person wishing the Charity to consider an exception to these terms should set out their request in writing, email it to wellbeing@honeypot.org.uk and await a response before submitting an application. Exceptions are entirely at the discretion of the Charity. All decisions on exception requests are final and cannot be appealed.
6. Applications will only be accepted via the online Wellbeing Fund Application Form.
7. The person making an application (‘the Applicant’) must be either the child’s parent or legal guardian, or a professional working with the child and their family.
8. Application forms must be completed in full and all information provided must be accurate. Information determined to be inaccurate or misleading may lead to immediate rejection of the application and in cases of serious and/or intentional misrepresentation, prohibition of further applications to the Fund.
9. Where an application is professionally sponsored, the sponsor must hold a professional role consistent with the Fund’s eligibility criteria. The sponsor is making a professional statement that a) they have sufficient knowledge of the child and their family to sponsor their application, b) they have read and understood the Wellbeing Fund’s objectives, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions, and c) they are satisfied that in their professional judgement the application is consistent with them.
10. Where the application is submitted by a professional sponsor on behalf of the child, the sponsor must have the explicit prior consent of the parent or guardian of the child(ren) on whose behalf the application is made.
11. Where an application is not professionally sponsored, evidence of receipt of one or more of the specified benefits indicating eligibility must be provided. This evidence must be clear and show entitlement is ongoing at the time of the application.
12. Applications will be considered by the Wellbeing Fund Administration Board within 28 days of receipt of a fully complete and evidenced application. Before consideration by the Board further information and/or evidence may be requested from the applicant if available information is considered insufficient.
13. No cash awards will be made from the Wellbeing Fund. Applications must identify a product or service which the Fund may purchase on behalf of the child/family. The application review process will include consideration of the product/service requested and may lead to an alternative being proposed on availability, cost, fitness for purpose, compatibility with Fund objectives or other grounds.
14. Any product or service funded by the Wellbeing Fund must be for the direct benefit of the child(ren) on whose behalf the application is made.
15. Confirmation of satisfactory receipt of any product or service supplied by the Fund must be received from the parent or guardian or professional sponsor, in writing and within 48 hours of delivery, by email to wellbeing@honeypot.org.uk.
16. No product or service funded by the Wellbeing Fund may be sold on within 24 months of the date it was provided without the written permission of the Charity. Proceeds of any sale within this period must be returned to the Charity for reinvestment in children’s services.
17. There is no entitlement to a grant, support or other assistance from the Charity. All cases are assessed on an individual basis and the award of a Wellbeing Fund grant is entirely at the discretion of The Honeypot Children’s Charity.
18. An applicant may appeal a decision with the Chief Executive within 28 days of notice of that decision. Appeals must be in writing and submitted by email to wellbeing@honeypot.org.uk by the person who submitted the application. Appeal outcomes will be notified to the appellant within 28 days of receipt. All appeal decisions are final; there is no further opportunity to appeal.
19. Data collected in relation to the Wellbeing Fund will be managed in accordance with the Charity’s Privacy Policy, here: https://www.honeypot.org.uk/privacy-policy
20. By submitting an application to the Fund, the applicant confirms they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out above and asserts that all information provided in the application is true and accurate.
