Our "Ride for 25" event raised an amazing 25k for young carers

A huge thank you to all the cyclists that did an incredible job of kickstarting our 25 year anniversary celebrations.

Our Ride for 25 event took place during the week of Young Carers Action Day on 16 March. 14 fabulous corporate supporters signed up and collectively cycled 16,465 km (thanks Strava!). Keeping in with the theme, an incredible 25k was raised in the process!

Here are some snaps of our dedicated riders and post event reflections.

The overall winner is Pirum Pistons, a UK based financial technology vendor and corporate partner of Honeypot since 2020. Their team cycled further than any other team, so well done to all of you!

“Our CEO has been great at rallying the troops (for Ride for 25)! There’s a lot of love for Honeypot and we’re very honoured and happy to be able to support the important work you do for young carers.” Emma Pierre, Pirum Pistons

It was amazing to see so many of our supporters getting behind the idea to challenge to compete with other corporates, but also just challenge themselves, and use the event as an opportunity to get out and fundraise for children who’ve been hit hard by the pandemic, and who need our support now more than ever.

“I know everyone enjoyed their chance to jump on a bike and get fundraising for such a great cause!  I actually ended up enjoying bike riding so much that I’ve finally purchased my own bike, so it’s been a lovely chance to get riding again. We look forward to hearing all the Honeypot updates from you and the kids in the coming months. We’ll be keen to get involved in future activities as well.” Isabel Stewart, King & Wood Mallesons

"It was hard for me to find motivation to do any exercise in the past year with everything going on. Honeypot put me back on the roads!!! The fact that I was pushing for a good cause and sharing this experience with the whole team made it so easy and fun! I loved every ride and stayed more active since :)" Beatrix Kovacs, ClickMechanic

“I genuinely thought 100km over 6 days would be easier than it actually was. My last 26km was the day after my Covid-19 jab, I certainly could have timed that better. But it was all worth it to raise funds for such an amazing charity.”  Dan Jay, BullionVault

We’re buzzing 😊 Loving seeing the overall fund go up! Great work on this by you and your team. Leyla Tovey, School Business Services

A huge thank you to everyone who participated. We look forward to the next ride.
